Welcome to the ClostPath 2013 Meeting
The 2013 meeting will be held from Tuesday 22nd - Saturday 26th October at the Sea Temple Spa and Resort, Palm Cove, Tropical North Queensland, Australia.
We are delighted to invite you to attend the 8th International Conference on the Molecular Biology and Pathogenesis of the Clostridia (ClostPath 8) to be held at The Sea Temple Spa and Resort in the tropical paradise of Palm Cove in Queensland, Australia, from 22nd-26th October, 2013. The ClostPath meeting is the pre-eminent conference in the clostridial pathogenesis field and offers an opportunity to discuss the latest exciting discoveries in this rapidly developing field in a convivial environment. The meeting will include invited presentations by leading international researchers in the field, all of whom will be in attendance for the entire meeting and will be available to talk about their research in an informal setting. In addition, many of the oral presentations will be chosen from the submitted abstracts, ensuring that the meeting will focus on the cutting edge of clostridial research. Poolside poster sessions will be a highlight of the meeting and will give all attendees an opportunity to present their latest data. Graduate students and early career researchers are encouraged to attend and contribute to the meeting; depending on the level of sponsorship that is obtained, partial travel grants will be available for these researchers. We look forward to welcoming you to tropical Australia; hear about the great science that is being carried on the most interesting bacterial pathogens, enjoy the sand, surf and sun, explore the Great Barrier Reef (27th October, 2013) and the Daintree Rain Forest. Take the opportunity to see the rest of Australia including Uluru (Ayers Rock), the Outback, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, cosmopolitan and sophisticated Melbourne, and beautiful Perth. It all awaits.
